Get To Know More About Movement
Movement Church is a community of faith consisting of those united to Christ by the working of the Holy Spirit who are being transformed into the image of Jesus as we live lives of love toward God, one another, and the world around us. We seek to live life under the authority of the Word of God in speech and in action. It is our heart that together we would be changed by the Gospel and embody that Gospel to one another and to the world around us.
Meet Matt & Holly
First off, we’re so grateful for the work of God in our lives to rescue us and redeem us to Himself, and in all that we do we hope to be a witness to the goodness of God. We met each other in Bible College, got married in 2013, and were blessed with our daughter, Lively, in 2021 and son, Shepherd, in 2023. We planted Movement Church in 2020, and it is our joy to both learn and teach as a part of this community of faith what it means to follow Jesus.
Leadership at Movement
Movement Church is currently a Developing Church within the Wesleyan Denomination. What that means is that currently the Great Lakes Regional Board of Administration oversees our church until we develop our own Eldership at our local church. Throughout 2024 we are working with a group of people from Movement Church in the status of Developing Elders so that in 2025 our church will commit to Membership and then vote on Elders to oversee our local church.
